After weeks of interviews, campaigning and nervous attack, the final result of the search for Miss February 2021 is out.
Announced on February 26 during the Special Edition Show of Tinig Pinoy, in the company of Tinig Pinoy’s DJ Mitch, DJ Gerry and head of the panel of judges Ms Maria Lily Villamayor, by virtue of her huge lead in popular votes (voting was with “LIKES” by supporters among the 20,000 strong Tinig Pinoy Group members, Miss Aezel Gamiao from the Philippines, bested the four finalists: Cherry Mae Victoria, Mary Grace Dizon, Ellen Libres and Sarah Jean Tangonan. Miss Victoria snagged the First Runner-up spot while Mary Grace bagged 3rd Place.
Aezel’s video entry for the talent portion was a heart-warming delivery of a spoken word featuring her parents’ dedication in raising their family through hard work. Her mom is an OFW while her father is a farm worker.
In the interview portion that was held LIVE on February 19 during the popular show OPM Love Songs Exclusive hosted by DJ Mitch, Miss Gamiao showed poise and determination as she responded to the questioning of the panel of judges composed of Ms Maria Lily Villamayor of Ottawa, Ontario, Ms Lene Catedrilla and Maricel Edios Peres of Motreal, Quebec. Out of a possible 30 points, Aezel scored 24.
For her win as Miss February, Aezel Gamiao joins Annie Iguiron who won the January tilt, as early qualifiers for the annual Calendar Girl 2021 competition and the Grand Prize of 75,000 pesos.
While Tinig Pinoy appreciates the effort of the candidates in the just concluded search for Miss February, the month-long competition proved well-organized thus ending successfully due to the dedication of Tinig Pinoy Group’s Admins. This tilt proved to be a great event because of these ladies’ relentless effort despite their limited availability as they fulfill their word duties as OFWs.
