More than a week before the big event, Tinig Pinoy’s 25th year anniversary celebration with a gala to honour the many volunteers that made it possible to reach this milestone, the capacity for attendees at the posh Sala San Marco in Ottawa has been maxed with many more wanting to secure a ticket to the event.
This Saturday, November 11th,Tinig Pinoy – the first and only LIVE radio program serving the Filipino-Canadian community in the National Capital Region celebrates continuous broadcasting and services not only on-the-air but also through timely and meaningful on-the-ground community-oriented projects.
Our call for support to publish a souvenir program to capture in posterity Tinig Pinoy’s activities, particularly those of its hard working volunteers, has also been generously answered by donors and sponsors. Among the pages in the souvenir program are greetings from President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as well as from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Governor General Julie Payette. The advertisements, wishes, messages of thanks and congratulations will help motivate further our volunteers in continuing Tinig Pinoy’s mission of community service and cultural promotion. Copies of the program will be distributed to attendees of the November 11thcelebration. In addition, copies will also be provided to the advertisers and various organizations and establishments catering to FilCans in the region. The souvenir program will also be posted on Tinig Pinoy’s website: www.tinigpinoy.com.
