At the invitation of Tinig Pinoy Radio, Canada’s Human Resources Minister Jason Kenney joined the Philippine Embassy initiative Parol Festival Fundraising event for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) at the Ottawa City Hall on December 28. Despite his very busy schedule as a high-ranking federal Member of Parliament and cabinet minister, Mr. Kenny has been spotted in community gatherings affiliated with Tingi Pinoy Radio. The successful event, coordinated mainly by community leader Betty Obas, was collaborated with the office of City Mayor Jim Watson grossed over 10,000 dollars.
